I am having one of those seasons that I have so much to write, but the words aren't coming out right. Mumble jumble.
I am hoping that one of these days I will sit down and write and the words will be there. Clear. Crisp. Telling. Until then, here is a list of our view:
-Heath is currently hanging out with his new girlfriend. Netty. As in Netty Pot. This winter has been one of cycling illness in our house. Despite drinking our OJ, washing our hands like nuts and taking our vitamins, it seems we look at germs and get sick. Heath was skeptical of my urges for him to try the Netty Pot. Today's quote: I can sure tell I have been away from the Netty Pot all day. I am so stuffed up. Oh my cautious husband, how I love when you try something new and LOVE IT!
-Brevin has become obsessed with Mario Bros. I am bewildered by this whole phenomenon. He plays a few times per week, but EVERYTHING is about Mario. I am hopeful that things will simmer down in the Mario World as spring and summer get here and we are outside more often. We are also gearing up for deciding where Brevin will go to Kindergarten. We have a couple of options we are seeking out. Either way, he is so ready and cannot wait!
-Rowan is at my personal favorite age. Approaching 2. The word explosion he is going through is such a treat day to day. He is asserting his personality more and more into conversations. One my favorite views each night is our family prayer time. Rowan kicks it off each night with his hands over his eyes with an intense string of gibberish words and then Dear God...Thank You...Family...Food...and then he taps me on my leg (that is how we pass on to the next person it is their turn). At the end...he closes us out with the loudest...AMEN!
-Things for me have been clicking along. I am pressing forward with my workout goals. I think the scale told me I accomplished one today. It was motivating to want to keep on keeping. I have been enjoying doing the Living Beyond Yourself Bible Study with my neighbor Catrina. I treasure the quiet time doing the study and with her to discuss. I have been busy kicking off a marketing/social media role for Hagstrom Builder. It has been a learning experience, but grateful for such a hip and kind boss like Peter. I have been reading 1,000 Gifts by Ann Voskamp. This book has turned me inside out...in a good way.
We have a lot to look forward to in the months ahead: Rowan turning 2/Easter/Bree's Wedding/4 generational trip to Alaska to visit family.
I hope to be back here sooner rather than later...
