Phew...1st Thanksgiving Down!

Well...the house is empty and quiet...too empty and quiet! We hosted our first Thanksgiving ever...this was a huge step for Heath and I as we secretly always had avoided it. Even though it was a lot of work, I am so glad we took the step and just did it this year. It was NOT as bad as I had thought. It went GREAT!

19 of us sat down together and gave THANKS on this Thanksgiving. We had a "weighing competition", a turkey hat competition (couldn't say the word turkey), Pictionary...but most important good time together filled with conversation and laughter. It was cozy in our kitchen, but I kind of like it that way...in each other's space. :) Everybody brought "their" special dish to share, new recipes were tried and I made my first turkey.
This could become a yearly thing for us??? Heath and I are so thankful for so many things in our life, but most importantly our family and friends. We sure miss some of you far away (Adam, Gary, Grandpa and the list goes on and on), but think of you often. Lastly I want to say thank you to the two "weirdos" Tommy and Jenny that showed up last night and helped us out. It sure made it a lot of fun!! Love to you all!
