We had our 16 week Dr appt today. We heard only one heartbeat and it was pounding at a strong 146. We had great conversation with Dr. Malik about emotions during pregnancy, the 50/50 chance of it being a boy or girl and when to have our ultra sound. We got his permission to do the ultra sound on the day after Thanksgiving---definitely beats shopping. :) And yes we are going to find out if it is a boy or girl. We need the next 20 weeks to adjust if it is a girl. Many have enjoyed (my team and mom specifically) pointing out ALL the reasons why we are having a girl. I will put up a poll to gather your thoughts!

I am thinking a HR of 146 sounds more like a boy to me. Hard to tell at this stage though - it may be to early on? Can't wait to find out. Why would you need the time if it were a girl?
We need the time to let that mentally sink in!!!! Seriously. A girl. My heart rate is up just thinking about it. AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
So I voted undetected Twins, just cause that was me at this point in my pregnancy. Can't wait to hear what you're having!
I don't see any photos, are you caring he/she high or low? We are excited for you and the family. Can't wait to hear what your having, it would be nice to see you with a girl (one of each). Do you still have a lot of stuff from Brevin? or are you starting over with all the stuff. We'll check in later and say hi from Kevin and Susan to your whole family...
I am super excited for you. Yay a heart beat, and a good one!! I am cheering for a girl, only because I have 2 and they are soooo much fun! Kaylee had a HR of 120 almost the entire time. We thought for sure she was a boy...but we were wrong! I can't wait to hear the news!!
