Traditions

Hello everyone,
It has been a while since we published a post, which I apologize for. I hope that all is well with you and yours. We are so glad that summer is finally starting to show up a little bit. Hopefully you have had a chance to get out and enjoy the nice (sad that I would call it that) weather lately.

Last week was Mother's Day, and as we have done for the past several years, we started the day off with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at the Mall of America. It is always amazing to see all the people that are there. I think this year it was supposedly around 50,000 or so. As with every year, it always takes a good 1/2 hour or so just to get to the official starting point. And slowly from there, the crowd starts to thin out. It is a lot of fun to be marching for a common cause and to be doing so with so many people.

We always enjoy our walk with Jill's mom, the two of them talk, I push the stroller and try to avoid running over anybody that might be moving a tad too slow. This year I think I only clipped one person's ankle (which is considerably lower than the 5 or 6 I seem to get every year).

Following the walk, we make our way to Southdale, for some good old Cheesecake Factory food. It really works out well to walk a 5k prior to eating there, their portions are always so huge. After some time eating and conversing, we eventually part our ways and we head home for our afternoon nap.

That is our Mother's Day tradition, that we love so much. What are some of your traditions that you enjoy?? (Not just Mother's Day) I am excited to hear them! Take care!

Heath
