CHI-TOWN!

Well, girl's weekend has come and gone. I have been looking forward to it since early winter and now am longing for the next one. 7 women from various aspects of life came together for some good times in Chicago. Here are some highlights:
*Staying in a hostel! On the scale of hostels, this one fell in the middle of a 1-1o scale. It is a HUGE hostel therefore didn't have the opportunity to be quaint/homish/character ridden. It was in a great location (safe and distance) and had amazing help. The rooms were decent size, but could maybe use a little makeover? Especially the noisy matresses. :)

*Shopping without any men! This was a real treat! I do enjoy shopping with Heath, but man shopping with women is something else. I tried things on, took my time and just enjoyed the feedback as those decisions are hard to make on your own sometimes. I really enjoyed shopping in a downtown envirornment-State Street and Michigan Avenue were both great!

*Spending time with my sister. I love learning about Emili Moneyhun every time we get together. It was also fun to meet somebody in her life, Corrine.
*Meeting Gus Spanos-he was a real gentleman that made me laugh with his life antics. He also bought us two rounds of drinks and let me know "smoke" his cigar and wear his hat. Cool story about him.

*Singing with the girls! Louie's Pub was perfect-not swanky and not a meat market. We definitely met a lot of people (which I LOVE!) that were just out for a good time singing. Many MANY laughs!
