Treasured Times

Well, many you know about my slight obsession with U2, Bono and the other three "cool" men. Since starting at EBC, I have found some pretty intense U2 friends, one in particular...Matt Anderson. He has all the movies, books and music-more than me...but NO he has never met or kissed Bono. I still get to hold that one over his head. :) Once we found out about the U2 3D movie, we knew we were in! I was also ecstatic because Martha, the one that I shared the Vertigo tour with, 5 months pregnant, jumping up and down crying alongside decided to make the trek to the zoo too!

We were reading the reviews about the movie for the month leading up to Jan 23rd and everything, even from non-U2 fans was RAVING! We were pumped, but I was nervous it would be a let down. We settled in to our chairs, put on our kickin' glasses and it began. Yes, tears came to my eyes and then a HUGE grin. This was like no movie I had ever seen before! HE (Bono) was right there along with The Edge, Larry and Adam. It was astounding! The music, energy and effects were out of this world. I hardly could sit in my seat as my body moved to the music. I looked at Matt and Martha numerous times to also see huge grins of satisfaction, it was great. It was truly a treasured time with these people in that moment. We all left feeling like we had just had a front row seat to their concert for 14 bucks and said continuously who we were going to bring back (any takers?!?!?).

I think one thing that continues to amaze me is the way U2 evolves with the times. They are 4 guys in their mid-late 40's filling up arenas with hundreds of thousands of people. They are fresh, energetic and know how to do it seemingly effortless. I am excited for the next tour and hoping to take it in at a different area/city.

Check out the poll for your favorite U2 song and also know the Shutterfly pics have been updated!
