Well we just got done celebrating Brevin's 1st Birthday and now we get to witness some of our closest friends venture down the 1st year of Jack Steven Dyer's life. Jeremy and Marlene had Jack on Thursday morning at 8:09 A.M. by cesarean as Jack was 10 lbs 12 oz. and 22" long. YES THAT IS BIG! Marlene is very thankful they did a scheduled surgery vs laboring for a day and the end result being a cesarean anyways. We had the great pleasure of meeting Jack on Thursday night for the very first time. He is absolutely adorable and cute! Being back at St. John's so in sync with Brevin's 1st Birthday was very emotional. We got to see Rock Star Nurse Joyce which was a treat! Unfortunately we had to hear Evil Nurse Deb's voice again as she repremanded us in the hallway, nothing has changed since the night Heath had to lay the smack down. :) I was also lucky enough to have some time to help out the Dyer's on Friday morning with tasks, being I am a task masta! But the best part was holding Jack for 2 whole hours as he took his morning nap. What a treat! Today we stopped in and out, Jack was awake and alert! He is a sweet little boy with a pig squeal for a cry. Brevin babbled "baby baby baby!" He really liked Jack and is very committed to showing him the ropes of being the cutest kid ever! :) It will take a few cases of Root Beer though!
We are so thrilled for the Dyers and thankful that they have allowed us to be a part of Jack's life for the last 10 months. We can't wait for our little boys to eat worms and scare their mama's with snakes. We love them and hope God will bless them as they start on their parenting journey!
