Jill and Tommy's Excellent Adventure

Thank God for good friends. Tommy came to rescue me on Friday night with an adventurous spirit. He called and said, "We are going to DO something tonight just like old times except you have a one year old." I was feeling the end of the week creeping up on me, but was refreshed by his energy. So I thought, "Hm? What can we do for an adventure with Brevin?" Well, since college, food has been a common thread through our friendship. Finding the good stuff, eating it and then reviewing it relentlessly. About one month ago we happened to stop in at our cheeseburger joint, Andy's Garage and it was closing for good:( We used Andy's as a middle spot to meet Tommy for what we thought was one of the best cheeseburgers the TC had to offer. THAT WAS IT! We were going to go in search of the new TC best cheeseburger. He was game! I did a little web research and we were off and running. We decided to hit up Casper's Nook in St. Paul. It was a blast, just like old times, except with a one year old:) We are going to be conducting an official review over the next several months and will share our results with all of you. I will say though without giving too much away that Casper's is worth the stop. We ended up meeting two other Monticelloeans, what are the chances of that? The atmosphere was outstanding...but the burger results you will have to wait for. We continued our adventure in the toy aisle of Target. Unfortunately, having the one year old limits many activities and how late you can stay out, but we made it until 8:45. We were still pretty zestful until we saw the chaise and love seat calling our name. "Tommy...Jill...Tommy..." Considering we had eaten half our weight, we sat down and then the adventure came to a close. It wasn't an all nighter like years past or filled with many stops, we did the best we could with our aged 26 year old bodies and a one year old. Man it sucks getting old! Bring back the good old days of Tacos, coffee and homework until 3! Thanks Tommy for being such a fabulous friend and ALWAYS making me laugh with your humor!
