I finished Cold Tangerines and have now started Shauna's second book Bittersweet. I was on page 24 last night when I put the book down and could hardly keep it together. I text a dear friend and told her that this book was hitting in all the raw places, that it would be hard to keep reading. She replied:
Some of it is going to be really tough, yet I hope healing. A process that is always uncomfortable and challenging to go through. But so worth it! Praying for you as you read it. Let me know if there is anything you want to hash out together.
Wow. Do you have a friend like this? A friend you can text when you can't go any further and then responds with something as deep and encouraging as this? If you don't, I urge you, find this friend. I am reading on despite the rawness. I am reading on because there is a so much comfort I find in her stories that can't be ignored.

Camping 3.0 is on the horizon. I do not look forward to all the prep work needing to be done, but AM looking forward to getting in the car and hopefully nobody being sick. Our family is in desperate need of unplugging and escaping to a place that always provides just what we need-The North Shore.
