Halloween Fun

Some of my favorite pictures in my photo albums from growing up are from Halloween:

1 year old-I sat on the table and assisted my dad with the carving of pumpkins
3-I had the cutest little witch costume that my grandma made that was glow in the dark
5-I became a plump pumpkin
8-I was a punk rocker with glitter in my hair

I vividly remember the Halloween Blizzard in 1991.
I vividly remember the house in my grandparents old neighborhood that scared me so much, I screamed every time even though each year I knew it was coming.
I vividly remember coming home with my cousins and the parents checking the candy, organizing, sorting and then making trades.

This year was filled with fun memories of our boys and friends.

Some highlights were:

Brevin naming his pumpkin "Carve." Of course he did not get the play on words that occurred, but in the spirit of the hilariousness of this, we named Rowan's "Smash."

Hearing Brevin practice his robot voice for a week leading up to Halloween. Trick.Or.Treat. Happy.Hall.o.ween.

Brevin wearing a costume from 1984ish time frame that my grandma made, the robot costume. We went retro in The Vosberg House and saved a tremendous amount of money.

While trick or treating, I said to Brevin, "You were so brave at that scary house Brevin." He replied, "No mom, I wasn't brave, I was really scared."

My most favorite memory this year, no lie, was a house that was giving out a "Slippery Witch" treat in the form of a beverage to the adults. It was in a little sample glass, but TASTY (tasted like a mudslide...mmmmmm)
Happy Halloween!
