Cousins Weekend 2008-Day 2 and 3

Man is the house quiet-it actually feels a little too quiet. I only hear one little voice, not 4 as I type this. Cousins Weekend 2008 is officially over and as Brevin put it waving good-bye to his cousins, "I sad." :( I think this is only because we had so much fun!
Day 2 started off with a pancake breakfast, the kids got to choose their favorite shape and voila! the pancake came that way (sort of!). They then chose all their favorite toppings: sprinkles, chocolate chips, whipped cream, strawberries, marshmellows...the list goes on and on! We managed to be out of the house on and our way to the beach by 10. It was quite windy and cold when we got there. The kids braved the lake water though and played a lot in the sand. We packed up and went to the really huge park, they LOVED this! It rapidly grew warmer out, so we decided to eat our lunch and give the beach one more try. But unfortunately the lake was just too cold for good swimming. So we packed up again and headed to the outdoor pool at the Y! The sun was shining, the air was warm and the pools were perfect for swimming! We made it home around 3:30 and headed downstairs for a movie and some rest time. Once we were rejuvinated, we went up for our backwards dinner! I thought the kids were going to fall out of their chairs when we told them we were going to serve dessert first! I knew they were going to love this, but didn't realize how much they would love it. :) They got to make their very own sundaes with whatever and as many toppings as they wanted (no, nobody got sick that night!). It was a blast! Then they got to make their very own pizzas for dinner, this ended up being a fun time for some good conversation with the kids. We did not make it to the appetizers of fruit and veggies as we were all TOO full! To end the night, we did Cousinlympics 2008...this entailed 3 games: The Egg Race, Bouncy Ball Extravaganza and Soak Uncle Heath and Auntie Jill race! Ahhhhh they were fun! We had some play time as we waited for the storms to pass and then headed to bed-phew, it was a long day! Day 3 consisted of fun cereals for breakfast, packing up and heading home! We all decided we would pretend we had NO FUN when we got home and talked about it. They are silly! Kassi yelled out the window as they were driving away, "SEE YOU NEXT YEAR FOR COUSINS WEEEEEEEEEEKEND 2009!!!!"

That is awesome! You have got to be the BEST AUNT EVER!!!
It sounds like a great idea but I don't know I could handle all of my nieces and nephews plus my own (that is 10 kids!)
I love the backwards dinner idea!

You are the best Uncle and Aunt ever!! What fun ideas, it reminds me of the fun times you kids had with your Aunt Susan, Auntie and Buddy, Uncle Kevin and Aunt Liz!
What a great break for the parents as well!!
