WOW-18 years ago, I would have never imagined I would be sitting here writing something on the World Wide Web for all to see about my best friend Becky LaVelle and her getting married.Yes it is true! She surprised us with this news on our doorstep on Friday night. Her fiance is Ryan Bormann from Iowa (yeah, I know, I know) and he is a GIS specialist for the City of Shakopee. Becky and Ryan are a match.com love story! I remember the phone call that came late that Sunday night after her date. She was giddy, said he dressed well and that the conversation was really good! That was almost one year ago in February. My how time flies!
Beck and Ryan have been working very hard over the last year to solidify their relationship before taking it to the next level. They got engaged in St. Paul, while it was lightly snowing on top of a parking ramp on Friday night! Beck was not expecting the parking ramp piece at all. I am not quite sure how Ryan kept his composure through dinner and then to another location for dessert and still managed to surprise her-NICE WORK!
Beck is over the moon excited and has always said she did not want a long engagement so the date is set for September 6, 2008. 7 months! They will be married at Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina and the rest is yet to be planned (it is only Monday:).
As Beck lived with us, Heath and her are like siblings-the three of us very close, but we are SUPER excited to get to know Ryan more and more and witness their marriage!
LET THE PLANNING BEGIN!

It is all very exciting! You guys are going to have so much fun planning a wedding again! Seems like forever ago that Beck and I were helping you plan your wedding.
Just wanted to take a quick look to see if anything new, and hey, there most certainly is!!! Tell Becky congrats, so very happy for her!!
